Apple might not announce the new Mac Pro at WWDC 2023

Apple’s transition to its custom silicon has so far been nothing but a resounding success. These computers are unbelievably fast, download lagu mp3 and power efficient.

However, it’s been over two years since the first Apple Silicon Macs were announced and it seems like we are no closer to seeing the eagerly anticipated new Mac Pro.

As I wrote earlier, no one seems to know what the new Mac Pro will be like and it seems we’ll have to wait longer to find out because the word on the street is that the new Mac Pro won’t be ready in time for WWDC 2023, which will take place from 5 to 9 June.

This comes from noted Apple analyst Mark Gurman, who said on a podcast that “while he still expects the new Mac Pro to launch this year, it is unlikely to emerge at WWDC.”

That said, Gurman expects the Mac Pro to be powered by an M2-series chip, and because of that, we shouldn’t expect to see a second-generation Mac Studio until the M3 chips are ready because that would certainly cannibalise sales of the Mac Pro.
